A few special notes regarding the formulation of the EFS Liquid Shot from First Endurance and the Chromium content found in both the OPTYGEN HP and the First Endurance Multi-V.

1) The carbohydrate mix found in EFS liquid shots is the same found in the FIRST ENDURANCE EFS drinks and bar. Its based on the latest research findings in carbohydrate metabolism that clearly show carbohydrates are absorbed in multiple channels concurrently. Meaning when you mix maltodextrin (a complex carb) with sugars like sucrose and glucose, the absorption rates increase. For the athlete this means they can absorb more carbohydrates/hour without getting any stomach distress. Products with a single source of carbohydrates are limited in their absorption rate. The clinical research has expanded quite rapidly in this area over the last five years and is quite clear on this.

2) For athletes and ideal level of daily Chromium during heavy training is 400mcgs which is what you get when you combine the FIRST ENDURANCE MultiV with Optygen or Optygen HP. During off-training when Optygen HP is not used a 200mcg dose from MultiV is a good amount. During heavy training this level of chromium helps with glucose tolerance factor and is necessary due to the greater level of carbohydrate ingestion where insulin is blunted. Clearing the chromium is not an issue as long as the athlete is training.
